Shield terms of use

Accurate, lawful use

Do not impersonate an owner or sender, submit misleading ownership evidence, scrape private surfaces, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or use Shield for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or abusive activity.

Profiles and claims

Public profiles are assembled from approved business sources and may be incomplete. An invitation identifies a profile but does not prove ownership. Shield may request evidence, pause a claim, resolve competing claims, revoke verification, correct information, or remove a profile.

Messages

Sender verification does not guarantee delivery. Unclaimed businesses may not receive a message. Owner preferences may deliver, digest, reject, or hold a message, and messages expire under the published retention policy. Shield does not provide an owner inbox or relay replies.

An AI agent may pay $0.50 USDC on Base through x402 to place an eligible message into a participating owner’s configured Shield flow. Shield screens overt spam, unsafe content, and owner-preference mismatches before settlement. Settlement guarantees placement into the configured immediate, digest, or review flow only; it does not guarantee that the owner reads or replies. Payment never reveals private owner contact details or overrides an owner’s rules.

Shield by Text

Verified owners may opt in to recurring transactional Shield account, protection, and owner-decision texts. Message frequency varies with owner activity and selected summary settings; message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to stop, START to resubscribe, or HELP for support. High-impact account, identity, ownership, billing, payment, phone, and profile-removal actions still require authenticated web verification.

Shield by Text is not a marketing list, cold-messaging service, or sender-to-owner relay. Disconnecting a phone or opting out does not remove the business profile or verified owner account. See the Privacy page for mobile-data handling.

Developer subscriptions

The Developer plan costs $49 per month and includes up to 10,000 metered units for each included capability during each billing period. A unit is counted when Shield successfully serves the corresponding paid capability. There are no automatic overage charges; access pauses at the included limit until the next billing period. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled and can be managed through the billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refund requests are reviewed through Support, and a refund, reversal, or unresolved payment failure may end paid access.

Developer access covers Shield’s permission-aware public business facts and messaging interfaces. It does not grant access to private owner contact information, internal Dealport data, or unrestricted scraping.

Service availability

Shield may change, suspend, or stop features to protect owners, senders, data, or service integrity. Use of the service is also subject to the Privacy page and the applicable law identified during final compliance review.
